As I moved into third trimester... my tummy was growing bigger now. I was given a small homework by my obstetrician Dr. Andy. I had to keep my baby kick count chart. I need to count atleast 10 kicks a day... I was so lazy in jotting it down. Always just before my weekly visit to doc, i would sit in waiting room and fill up the graph sheet. My doc caught me once when he was coming from operation theatre & I was busy ticking the sheet. He patted on me & said " Dr. Shilpa.. notty uhah"!!!OMG what an embarrasment..
I was eating like a pig. .. I had tried most of the best restaurants in KL. Vegetarian chinese, Thai delicasies, Vietnam, Indian Punjabi etc. I even went to Chef Wan's place, Secret recipe, relished on Newzealand icecreme, B&R 31.. tried everything in these later eating joints..All for u dear baby...
One day I started to feel uneasy after my meal. This was during 32nd week. My outgrown tummy was pushing high up. Had bad reflux symptoms. I enjoyed it though. My baby would corner to one side make my tummy look so uneven. She gave maximum kicks during this time.
She loved whenever I played music. She loved tabala by Zakhir Hussain the most.. She kicked hard and probably saying.. 'wah ustad wah!!!'
I was having lot of bathroom visits during this time which could even disturb my sleep. My husband made fun saying my address should be changed to ' Shilpa. Jalan bathroom'.( Jalan mean street in malay).
I wanted to take every advantage of my growing tummy. Took lot of pictures. Even sent few pics to Parenthood magazine. Checked consequently 2 months for my picture in their pretty moms list. In their December edition I appeared with my Bump. I had not won 1st prize but consolation prize. I was sent few vouchers from Modern mom.. the maternity shop.. Yippie!!! lets go shopping.
We had started shopping for our little one. While I was busy shopping cute little dresses for her. My hubby was busy looking for best stroller, baby crib, car seat. He secretly was arranging things for nursery.
At work place, I was so busy at times even forgot to eat or count my baby kicks. In the evening my legs would have dependant edema. I loved to look at my feet plumpy n cute.
I worked till 10 days were left for my expected day. I threw a party for my entire medical faculty before I went for my maternity leave. Left the place with all their blessings and wishes.
At home I had kept my hospital bag ready. Just counting on time. My daughter seem to be so happy within. She showed no sign to come out.
We had already thought of a name for her in my 3rd month of pregnancy. We could n't find any name better for her than this name. "Sia" which means avatar of goddess Laxmi according to hindu mythology. We had started calling her by the name and she very sincerely answered to us by kicking back.
I completed 3rd trimi .... Just any time.. she would be among us.. Oh!!! dear I really cant wait to see u.
